From her unforgettable experiences working with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, Liza Minelli, Marilyn Horne, Reba McIntire, Idina Menzel, Renée Fleming, and most recently with Roger Daltry (The Who), to her membership and Carnegie Hall performances with The New York Pops, Karen has always shared the company of the world’s greatest performers.

SongPath, a companion CD to her new book, is Karen’s 8th CD and debuted at #3 on Billboards New Age chart and #9 on the Classical chart, Timeless Being ranked #1 on the Zone Music Reporter, and A Hero’s Journey won the ZMR’s 2017 Best Neo-Classical Album award. Her interpretive heartfelt style and original compositions combine classical, popular, jazz, ambient, and world influences. In addition to performing on many of the world’s greatest stages, Olson has presented programs at The Omega Institute, The Open Center, and The Agape Spiritual Center, to name a few.

Karen has established herself as an authority in emotional healing and wellbeing based upon her training and her personal experience, which is the subject of her new book, SoundPath. Karen has a bachelor’s degree from Juilliard, master’s degrees from Juilliard and Yale, and a Ph.D. from NYU. Her well-known scale book for the viola is published by ECSchirmer.
